Version 3.20 - [BASIC] Donation Date defaults to Accession Date, assigned Donation Type is remembered. Toolbar added. Total Value added to file and printed Donation reports. Do I really need to update my PC Card Catalog program?

It's probably a good idea to run the most current version of PCCC. Just so you 'll know, the ending letters indicate minor bug fixes. The decimal numbers indicate some important changes...probably ought to update your system. Differences to the number left of the decimal indicate big changes. It will mean there will be major feature additions, possible format changes, and you will probably have to pay an upgrade cost.

The UPDATE process works like this. If you are an Enhanced Support subscriber, you will automatically receive the UPDATE progam on CD when it is available. Otherwise, order the UPDATE from the UPDATE ORDER page. You will receive an e-mail with download details. Run the UPDATE file that you have been instructed to download. Your data will remain intact, your registration status will remain the same. The program and any support files will be improved.

Two things to note: 1) The UPDATES are cumulative. That is, with the latest UPDATE you will have all of the features that have been added since your last UPDATE, even if you missed one or two. 2) There is a modest cost for each UPDATE. The costs are cumulative, too. If you miss an UPDATE you will need to pay the sum of the missed UPDATE(s) plus the current cost. Therefore, we recommend staying current both for the benefits and the fact that there is no cost savings in skipping UPDATES.
